Credit to Will Carroll of Baseball Prospectus for getting the ball rolling on this story yesterday with his reporting. What a shame. Volquez had one hell of a rookie year in 2008. Early reports are that he can serve the suspension on the DL where he is because of Tommy John Surgery and be activated in June when the injury itself would have kept him out of until July? So what is stopping anyone from taking PEDs if they are out for a long time since they can serve it on the DL?
