The owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dan Gilbert just released an open letter to the Cavaliers fans. He rips into LeBron James repeatedly but never once mentions him by name. He also goes onto add that the Cavaliers will win a title before LeBron does (wishful thinking). Read the letter below. Thoughts?

That was an impressive letter actually. I'd feel the exact same way personally. :)

I love the way he doesn't mention LeBron by name once in the whole letter.

It was pretty brilliant IMO...hopefully, he can execute his plan and live up to his claims. Personally, I'm disappointed in LeBrons lack of loyalty.

Those lines have been blurred in sports for a long time. I'm a Raptors fan but these are 3 superstars willing to share the spotlight for a chance to win. It's actually a refreshing change from athletes who are just money hungry.

What makes you think they're not money hungry? They are being paid many millions of dollars a year to play basketball, yet they tout their 'sacrifice'. Please. And I really don't get the 'that's just the way things are today' mentality. Things are what people make them, and James showed an appalling lack of concern for the fans who have supported him for 7 years. If he actually gave a crap about them or any character issue on his part, at all, he would have made a simple announcement at a simple press conference , not made a network extravaganza out of his decision and rubbed the Cavs nose in it. He has no class and that's about all there is to it.

HSers get national TV time to announce where they are going to play college sports. That's what happens in the 24/7 global media age we're in. Cavalier fans are being hypocritical here. Would they have had the same attitude if Bosh had joined LeBron in Cleveland? Sports are a business. Free Agency is a business. You can't have it both ways.

I say Gilbert hit a home run.

The posers and preeners and hangers on and pants on the ground crowd will think LeBron is the man in all this, but Gilbert exposed him.

It's basically a dark day for character in the NBA.

They had seven years with him and didn't win a ring. What more do they want? Good for Lebron. And way to choose a state with no income tax. Good call.

I personally hate the NBA and do not give 2 flips about LeBron, but even if he wins some rings in Miami, he won't be the one that carries them. He's on a team that is stacked for God's sake.
