Absolutely ridiculous that the University of Notre Dame did not report this alleged assault to police. How is the player involved still on the field without a proper investigation? Notre Dame needs to get off its high horse because their football program has stunk for years now. Great reporting from the Chicago Tribune here.

i certainly agree. that if they failed to to report this. it is horrendous. i also agree that their program is archiac, and not the face of college football. i do wonder if all the facts are in. in the past these situations were dealt with swiftly at notre dame. if this were "billy bob" football like in the south. he would be indited, and reinstated all in the same day. history shows. that notre dame has dismissed players for much less over the years. that is why they are an irrevelent program. unlike the "billy bob's" of the sec,and oklahoma, and texas. i will defer judgement until then.
